This FAQ covers what happens when you connect Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts or Google Drive to ZeroTwo. It summarizes how the connectors work and what the [ZeroTwo privacy policy](https://zerotwo.ai/privacy) says. If the two ever differ, the policy is the authoritative text.

## Which Google services can I connect?

Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts and Google Drive each have their own connector in **Customize > Connectors**. You connect them one at a time, and you can use any combination. For the steps, see [Connect your apps to ZeroTwo with connectors](https://help.zerotwo.ai/en/articles/11487775-connect-your-apps-to-zerotwo-with-connectors).

## What does each connector ask Google for?

Each connector requests its own set of Google permissions (scopes) and nothing from the other services. All of them also ask for your basic identity (your email and, for Drive, your profile) to identify the connected account.

| Connector | Google permissions requested | What ZeroTwo's tools can do |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Gmail | `gmail.readonly`, `gmail.send`, `gmail.compose`, `gmail.modify` | Search and read messages, threads and attachments; create, update and send drafts; send and forward email; label, archive and delete messages. |
| Google Calendar | `calendar.readonly`, `calendar.events` | Search and read events, check availability, create, update and delete events, and respond to invitations. |
| Google Contacts | `contacts.readonly`, `contacts` | Search, list and read contacts and groups, and create contacts. |
| Google Drive | `drive` | Search and read Drive files, and read, edit, create, import and export Docs, Sheets and Slides. See [Use Google Drive with ZeroTwo](https://help.zerotwo.ai/en/articles/10929079-use-google-drive-with-zerotwo). |

## How does ZeroTwo use my Google data?

Only to provide the features you ask for. The privacy policy says data from Google Workspace APIs is used only to provide user-requested features, and that ZeroTwo does not use it to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine learning models. It also states that ZeroTwo's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

## When does ZeroTwo read my Google account?

When you have authorized a connection and you ask for something that involves it. The policy lists this under how ZeroTwo processes information: it accesses data from connected integrations "when you authorize those connections and request an action involving them".

## Does Google data go to AI model providers?

It can. The policy says that if Google Workspace data is processed through third-party AI providers to fulfill your request, it remains tied to your individual workflow and is not used by ZeroTwo for generalized model training. It also says the data ZeroTwo sends to the model provider you selected can include prompts, the chat history needed for the current task, files you attach and retrieved snippets, and that some providers may retain or use submitted data under their own terms. Read the provider disclosures shown in ZeroTwo before you use a model for sensitive work.

## Can I limit what ZeroTwo does with my Google account?

- Open the connector from Installed and set each tool to **Always allow**, **Needs approval** or **Blocked**. See [Control what ZeroTwo can do in a connected app](https://help.zerotwo.ai/en/articles/20001495-control-what-zerotwo-can-do-in-a-connected-app).
- Switch the connector off in **Settings > Plugins > Connectors** to stop ZeroTwo using it without disconnecting.
- For Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Contacts you can connect several accounts and disconnect each one separately. See [Connect, reconnect and disconnect app accounts](https://help.zerotwo.ai/en/articles/20001494-connect-reconnect-and-disconnect-app-accounts).

## How do I disconnect and revoke access?

1. Open the connector under **Installed**.
2. Select **More options**, then **Disconnect**.

ZeroTwo deletes the stored connection and its tokens. It does not ask Google to revoke the grant when you disconnect, so to remove ZeroTwo's access on Google's side as well, use your Google account's own settings for third-party access. The privacy policy lists disconnecting integrations and revoking provider permissions in the integration or provider settings among your privacy choices.

## What happens to Google content that appears in a chat?

The privacy policy lists chat messages, assistant replies and extracted snippets among the content you create or upload, and says it keeps content you store in ZeroTwo until you delete it, your workspace is deleted, or retention is required for security, fraud prevention, backups or legal compliance.

## Can my organization's admin control which Google services I connect?

Connections are personal: each person connects and disconnects their own accounts from Customize. ZeroTwo does not currently offer a workspace-wide setting that blocks members from connecting a Google service. The Apps page in Workspace Settings lists apps, but its disable action does not do anything yet.
