Connecting GitHub lets ZeroTwo work with the repositories, issues and pull requests your GitHub account can reach. You connect once, then use GitHub from your chats.

## Connect GitHub

1. Open **Customize > Connectors** and find **GitHub**. Its card reads "Access your GitHub repositories and issues."
2. Select **Connect**. In the dialog titled "Use GitHub in ZeroTwo", select **Connect** again.
3. Approve the request on GitHub's authorization page. ZeroTwo asks for the GitHub scopes `repo`, `user`, `read:org` and `read:project`.
4. You return to ZeroTwo, and GitHub appears under **Installed**.

For the general flow that applies to every app, including what happens in the desktop app, see [Connect your apps to ZeroTwo with connectors](https://help.zerotwo.ai/en/articles/11487775-connect-your-apps-to-zerotwo-with-connectors).

## Try it

Once GitHub is connected, tell ZeroTwo what you need. To make sure ZeroTwo uses GitHub, mention it by typing `@GitHub` in your message. For example:

- @GitHub Show me my recent GitHub activity
- @GitHub List my open pull requests
- @GitHub What issues are assigned to me?

## Add the GitHub plugin for guided workflows

The GitHub plugin bundles four skills on top of the connector. To add it, open **Customize > Plugins**, find **GitHub** and select **Install**.

- **github** triages repositories, pull requests and issues and sends you to a more specific skill when one fits.
- **gh-address-comments** works through review feedback on a pull request.
- **gh-fix-ci** investigates failing GitHub Actions checks.
- **yeet** publishes local changes: it commits, pushes the branch and opens a draft pull request.

The plugin's instructions prefer the connector for repository, issue and pull request data. They fall back to the GitHub command-line tool (`gh`) for jobs the connector does not cover well, such as reading Actions logs. The plugin's suggested prompt is "Inspect PRs, triage issues, debug failing checks, and prepare code changes for review".

## Choose repositories to prioritize

Once the plugin is installed, its page shows a **Synced repositories** section. Syncing asks ZeroTwo to prioritize the repositories you use most when they are relevant; your other accessible repositories stay available.

1. Open **Customize > Plugins > GitHub**.
2. Under Synced repositories, select **Choose repositories**. If GitHub is not connected yet, the button reads **Connect GitHub** instead.
3. In the dialog "Which repositories do you use?", tick up to five repositories. A counter shows how many are selected, and the search box filters the list. Archived repositories cannot be selected.
4. Select **Continue**. ZeroTwo confirms with "Synced repositories updated".

The list covers repositories you own, collaborate on, or reach through an organization. If the list does not load, the dialog shows an error instead; close it and try again.

## Other places that use your GitHub connection

- In Code on the web, the repository picker lists repositories from your connected GitHub account.
- The **Create a cloud environment** dialog in Code shows "Connected to GitHub as" followed by your login. If a repository is missing, use **Configure access** to open GitHub and grant access to it.
- A scheduled task that runs in the cloud and targets GitHub offers a repository picker, or a **Connect GitHub** button if you have not connected yet.

## Limit what ZeroTwo can change

Open GitHub under Installed to see its tools, grouped as read-only and write/delete tools. You can set any tool to **Always allow**, **Needs approval** or **Blocked**. See [Control what ZeroTwo can do in a connected app](https://help.zerotwo.ai/en/articles/20001495-control-what-zerotwo-can-do-in-a-connected-app).

## If something is not working

- A "Connection issue" message means GitHub needs to be authorized again. Open GitHub under Installed and select **Connect**.
- A repository you expect is missing: check that your GitHub account can open it, and for an organization use **Configure access** as described above.

## Disconnect GitHub

Open GitHub under Installed, open its **More options** (…) menu and choose **Disconnect**. ZeroTwo deletes the stored connection and makes a best-effort request to GitHub to revoke the app's access grant.
