The SharePoint connector lets ZeroTwo work with SharePoint sites, document libraries and OneDrive through your own Microsoft account. ZeroTwo works through your Microsoft permissions, so it can reach what you can reach. Because the connection asks for write access, it can also change files unless you block those tools.

## What it can do

In the connector list it is described as "Summarize SharePoint sites and files, extract owners and status, and plan safe content updates." Its default tools fall into three groups. The live list is on the connector's page after you connect.

| Group | What ZeroTwo can do |
| --- | --- |
| Find and read | Look up your profile and a site, list a site's document libraries and a folder's contents, search documents, list recent documents and fetch a file. |
| Review | List who has access to an item and list an item's earlier versions. |
| Change | Create folders, move, copy or delete items, upload or update a file's content, restore an earlier version, create a sharing link and invite people to an item. |

Uploads and downloads stop at 50 MiB per file.

## Permissions you approve

Microsoft's approval screen lists these permissions. Together they let ZeroTwo read and change the content you can reach in SharePoint and OneDrive:

- `Sites.Read.All` and `Sites.ReadWrite.All` for SharePoint sites.
- `Files.Read.All` and `Files.ReadWrite.All` for files.
- `User.Read` to identify you, and `offline_access` so the connection lasts.

Depending on your organization's Microsoft settings, an administrator may have to approve these before the connection works. Microsoft still decides, item by item, what your account may open or change.

## Connect SharePoint and OneDrive

1. Select **Customize** in the left rail, then **Connectors**.
2. Find **SharePoint** (some lists show it as "SharePoint & OneDrive") and select **Connect**.
3. In the window headed "Use … in ZeroTwo", which names the connector, select **Connect**, sign in with Microsoft and approve the permissions.

You can also start from the Library: choose **New**, then **Connect a plugin**. A dialog titled "Connect your files" lists Google Drive, SharePoint, Box and Dropbox. Select the plus button beside SharePoint.

## Use it in a conversation

In Chat mode ZeroTwo attaches SharePoint tools only when your latest message mentions SharePoint. Type `@SharePoint` in your message, for example "@SharePoint find the latest budget document". In Work mode ZeroTwo does not need a mention to reach your connected connectors.

## Browse SharePoint from your Library

Once SharePoint is connected, it can also appear as a source named "SharePoint" in the Space sidebar and on the Library page. This is a web and desktop app feature. Open it to move from your sites to a site's document libraries, then to folders and files.

A file's three-dot menu offers **Chat about this**, **Download**, **Rename**, **Move to...**, **Copy to…**, **Hide** and **Delete**. An action is greyed out when it is not available for that item. A few rules apply:

- Delete sends the item to Microsoft's recycle bin, and ZeroTwo reports "Moved to provider Trash".
- Site and library roots cannot be renamed, moved or deleted.
- Copies run in the background. If SharePoint is still working, ZeroTwo says "The provider is still processing this operation. Refresh to check its progress."
- Shortcuts to items stored somewhere else are listed, but ZeroTwo cannot preview, download or change them from the Library.

The Library's settings menu has a switch for SharePoint if you want to hide the source without disconnecting.

## Choose which tools ZeroTwo can use

Open the connector from the Installed row. Under **Tool permissions** the tools are grouped as **Read-only tools** and **Write/delete tools**, and each can be set to **Always allow** (the default), **Needs approval** or **Blocked**.

Because this connector can change and delete files, consider setting the Write/delete tools to Needs approval. Work mode then stops and asks before it acts, with choices that include Allow once, Allow for this run and Deny. Regular chat does not ask, so use Blocked for any tool you never want used there.

## Reconnect or disconnect

If the connection expires, the connector's page shows "Connection issue" and a **Connect** button. To remove it, open the three-dot menu on its page and choose **Disconnect**; ZeroTwo deletes the connection and the tokens it saved.
