The ZeroTwo desktop app has a built-in browser. You can open web pages next to your chat, leave comments on parts of a page and send them to ZeroTwo, and let ZeroTwo drive the browser for you. Everything on this page is for the desktop app.

## Open the browser

- Choose the **Open new tab** (+) button in the panel beside your chat, then choose **Browser**.
- Or press the **Open browser tab** shortcut, Command+T on a Mac or Ctrl+T on Windows and Linux.
- To show or hide the browser panel, use **Toggle browser panel**: Shift+Command+B on a Mac or Shift+Ctrl+B on Windows and Linux.

A new tab starts on a page with a few tools and, once you have sites to suggest, a **Suggested** list. Links you click in ZeroTwo open in the built-in browser by default. To change that, go to **Settings** > **Browser** and set **Web URL and link open destination** (and **Local URL open destination** for local development sites) to **ZeroTwo** or **Default browser**.

## Browse and find your way around

The toolbar has **Back**, **Forward** and **Reload** buttons, an **Annotate** button and the address bar. These shortcuts are the defaults, and you can change them under **Settings** > **Shortcuts**.

| Action | Mac | Windows and Linux |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Focus browser address bar | Command+L | Ctrl+L |
| Back | Command+[ | Ctrl+[ |
| Forward | Command+] | Ctrl+] |
| Reload Browser Page | Command+R | Ctrl+R |
| Force Reload Browser Page | Shift+Command+R | Shift+Ctrl+R |
| Find (in the active browser tab) | Command+F | Ctrl+F |

## The Browser options menu

Choose the three-dot **Browser options** button for more:

- **Find in page**, **Print** and zoom controls.
- **Show device toolbar** and **Take a screenshot**.
- **Import cookies and passwords…**, which opens **Import from your browser** so you can bring passwords and cookies from another browser profile on your computer into the built-in browser.
- **Passwords and autofill** (**Password manager** and **Contact info**) and **Downloads**.
- **Clear browsing data**, with **Clear cookies**, **Clear cache** and **Delete download history**.
- **Browser settings**.
- **Open in system browser**, which opens the current page in your default browser. Use it when a site will not show inside the built-in browser.

## Comment on a page with Annotate

1. Open the page and choose **Annotate**.
2. Click the part of the page you want to talk about. A box labeled **Add a comment...** appears next to it.
3. Type your comment and press Enter. Repeat for other parts of the page.
4. Open **Browser options** and choose **Send**. The number beside it is how many comments you made. They are sent to ZeroTwo as a message in the chat the browser is open from.

The same menu has **Discard annotations**, **Copy browser screenshot** and **Hold to view original**. Under **Settings** > **Browser**, **Annotation screenshots** decides whether a screenshot goes with your comments: **Always include** (the default), **Auto** or **Never**. Screenshots help ZeroTwo understand your comments but increase plan usage.

## Let ZeroTwo use the browser

ZeroTwo does not control the built-in browser until you allow it. Go to **Settings** > **Browser** and turn on the **Browser** switch, described as "Let ZeroTwo control the built-in browser". Then use **Agent permissions** to decide what it may do. For **Browsing** and **Downloads** you can pick **Always allow**, **Always ask** or **Never** as the default, and add exceptions for specific sites such as example.com or *.example.com. These start out as **Always allow**.

The same page also has:

- **History**, which decides whether ZeroTwo can see your built-in browser history. It starts as **Always ask**.
- **Enable site tools**, which lets ZeroTwo discover and call tools that websites expose, including WebMCP. It is on by default.
- **Developer mode** with **Enable full CDP access**, marked **Elevated risk**, which lets ZeroTwo run Chrome DevTools tools in a dedicated Chrome profile and may expose sensitive browser data. It is off by default.

The Browser page also manages **Show full URL**, **Browsing data**, **Browsing history**, the **Password manager**, **Extension manager** and where downloads are saved. Setting up Google Chrome itself is done in the computer use settings, which the page links to.
