A Site you create while a workspace is the active workspace belongs to that workspace, and it can be shared in more ways than a personal Site: with everyone in the workspace, or with groups. ZeroTwo has no workspace-wide setting for Sites. The member who owns a Site decides who can reach it. For the basics of creating and sharing a Site, see How do I build, publish and manage a website with ZeroTwo Sites?
Create a Site for the workspace
Open the account menu in the sidebar and switch to the workspace instead of Personal Account, then create the Site as usual. The Site is attached to the workspace you were in when you created it. A personal Site cannot be shared with a whole organization.
Who can reach a workspace Site
- Only you. A new Site is private to its owner.
- Specific people. Add viewers by email address in the share dialog. They sign in to ZeroTwo with that address, and a person you add by email can only be a viewer.
- Everyone in the workspace. A workspace Site can be opened to all active members of the workspace. The share dialog has no option for this, so ask ZeroTwo in the Site's chat to give the whole workspace access. ZeroTwo asks you to Allow or Deny the change.
- Anyone with the link. The same public option personal Sites have.
- Groups. Share with groups of workspace members, as described next.
Use group access
Open the Site's page from the Sites list and look for Group access on the Settings tab. It shows each group with its member count and scope. Beside a group, choose No access, Viewer or Editor. Only the Site's owner can change these roles. Viewers can open the Site, and editors can also save and deploy new versions of it.
A workspace owner or admin who owns the Site can also select Create group, then:
- Enter a Group name.
- Choose a Group scope, Workspace or Organization.
- Tick the Members to include, then select Save group.
Use Edit group to change a group later. The form notes that membership changes apply to every Site using this organization group. Delete group asks you to confirm with Confirm delete from all Sites. A Site can have at most 500 explicit access grants.
What workspace admins can and cannot do
Workspace Settings has General, Members, Billing and Apps pages. None of them has controls for Sites, so there is no setting that limits who can create or publish a Site, turns Sites off for members or approves a Site before it goes live. What exists is per Site: the owner's sharing choices and the Allow or Deny question that ZeroTwo asks when it would widen a Site's audience.
Each person can have up to 25 Sites. Deleting a Site is done by its owner under Danger zone on the Site's page.
