A ZeroTwo Site is a website you build in ZeroTwo and publish at its own address. Once other people can open it, you decide what the Site collects and who can reach it. This article describes the visitor information ZeroTwo's Sites hosting handles and the controls you have. It is product information, not legal advice. ZeroTwo's Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy do not mention Sites, so check the privacy laws that apply to you and your visitors, and speak to a lawyer if you are unsure.

## What the Analytics tab counts

Every Site has an **Analytics** tab. It shows **Page views**, **Unique visitors**, **Top pages** and **Traffic over time** for the last 7 days (hourly) or 30 days (daily). The **Top pages** card currently reads "No page data yet". If traffic tracking is not turned on, the tab says so.

The figures come from page-view records that ZeroTwo reads from Cloudflare Analytics Engine, a Cloudflare service that ZeroTwo's Sites hosting uses. According to ZeroTwo's analytics code, each record holds the page path, a visitor identifier, the visitor's country, the host name of the page that referred them, a device class, the response status and the cache state. Only HTML pages are recorded, not images or scripts, and records whose device class is a bot are left out of the counts. When traffic is very high the tab shows approximate figures and says so. For the tab itself, see [How do I build, publish and manage a website with ZeroTwo Sites?](https://help.zerotwo.ai/en/articles/20001339-how-do-i-build-publish-and-manage-a-website-with-zerotwo-sites)

## What your own site can collect

Anything your Site's own code collects, such as form entries or sign-ups stored in a database, is yours to manage. A Site can be built with a database and with file storage, and these are separate from the Analytics tab.

When you work on a Site in chat, ZeroTwo's Sites tools can list the tables in the Site's database and read rows from them, up to 25 rows per call. What ZeroTwo reads becomes part of that chat. If a table holds personal data you do not want in a chat, do not ask ZeroTwo to read it.

## Control who can reach your Site

1. Open **Sites** from the **More** menu in the rail. In your Site's row, open the **More options** menu and choose **Settings**.
2. On the **Settings** tab, find **Sharing** and choose **Manage**.
3. Under **Who has access**, choose **Only you** or **Anyone with the link**.

A site that collects personal data is best kept on **Only you** until it is ready. As the Site's owner you can also add named people by email in the same dialog. They sign in to ZeroTwo with that email, and you can send them an invitation or remove their access at any time. Only the Site's owner can add or remove them.

Every visitor to a Site that is not set to **Anyone with the link** has to sign in to ZeroTwo. ZeroTwo can pass a signed-in visitor's account ID and email address to your Site's code, and may include their name. If your Site stores or displays any of these, it holds that information.

## Keep secrets out of public files

Under **Settings** > **Environment variables** you can add values your site needs, such as API keys. Choose **Store as a secret** for sensitive values. On older static Sites, names that start with `VITE_`, `PUBLIC_`, `NEXT_PUBLIC_`, `REACT_APP_` or `VUE_APP_` are built into the published files, where anyone can read them, so never put a secret in one. A saved change takes effect with the next deployment.

## Delete a Site

In the **Danger zone** on the Settings tab, **Delete site** permanently deletes the site and its published files. The address stops working and cannot be recovered. When you delete your ZeroTwo account, ZeroTwo also deletes your Sites' published files.

## What ZeroTwo does not provide

ZeroTwo does not write or publish a privacy notice for your Site, and the Site's **Settings** tab has no option for one. If you write one, open the Site's page, select **Edit** to reopen its chat, and ask ZeroTwo to add the page. The [ZeroTwo Sites](https://help.zerotwo.ai/en/collections/20001370-zerotwo-sites) collection covers building and managing Sites.
