A Space is a shared folder for pages and files. The people you invite can see what is inside, and each person's role decides what they can change. Spaces are part of the web and desktop apps.

## Open Spaces

Select **Spaces** in the icon rail. The first time you open it in a browser or in the desktop app, ZeroTwo shows a **Welcome to Space** screen. Select **Continue to Space** to go on to your Library, and the screen does not return in that browser or app.

The sidebar for this section is headed **Space**. It lists **New page**, **All**, **Pages**, **Sites**, and **Images**, then your connected cloud sources. Below those are a **Pinned** list and a **Recents** list, which appear once you have pinned items or recent files, and a **Spaces** list with your Spaces and **Trash**. A bell at the top lists any invitations you have received.

## Create a Space

1. In the sidebar, hover over the **Spaces** heading and select the **+** button (**Create a space**).
2. Select the icon button to choose an icon and a color, then enter a name in the box that says "Name the topic or group".
3. Optional: expand **Invite people**, add email addresses, and pick **Can edit** or **Can view** for them.
4. Select **Create**. The new Space opens.

## Add pages and files

Inside a Space you can browse folders, search by name, and switch between list and grid views. People with edit access also see a **New** button with **Page**, **Folder**, and **Upload files**. **Sheet** and **Slides** appear in that menu marked "Coming soon", so you cannot use them yet.

To bring in something you already have, open the menu on a file in your Library or on an image and choose **Add to space…**. Pick a Space where you can edit and select **Add**. ZeroTwo puts a copy in the Space and leaves your original where it was.

## Invite people and set roles

Select **Share** at the top of the Space. When the Space has more than one member, the button also shows the member count. Owners and admins can add email addresses, choose a role, and select **Invite**. The same box lists who has access. Owners and admins also see any pending invitations and can revoke them. **Copy link** copies the Space's address.

| Role | What it can do |
| --- | --- |
| Owner | Manages members, renames the Space, and deletes it. |
| Admin | Manages members and renames the Space. |
| Can edit | Adds and edits pages and files. |
| Can view | Reads pages and files. |

- Link access is set to **Only those invited**: the Space's link opens only for people who were invited.
- An invitation works only for the account whose verified email address it was sent to, and it expires after 7 days.
- Invited people accept or decline from the bell in the Space sidebar, or from the banner that appears when they open the Space's link.
- The share box shows a notice that shared content may be used for training or memory if collaborators have those settings on. Select the x on it to dismiss it.

## Manage a Space

Hover over a Space in the sidebar and select its options button for **Pin space**, **New chat**, **Share**, and **Copy** (link or name). **New chat** opens a new chat with a draft that begins In my “*Space name*” space, and nothing else. It only starts the sentence for you. It does not limit the chat to that Space.

- **Rename:** owners and admins can use **Space options** at the top of the Space.
- **Delete space:** only the owner sees it. The Space moves to Trash, and items in Trash are permanently deleted after 30 days.
- **Leave space:** every member except the owner can leave from **Space options** or from the share box.

Files in a Space belong to the Space's owner. For more on sharing and data, see [Sharing Spaces and pages with other people](https://help.zerotwo.ai/en/articles/20001544-sharing-spaces-and-pages-with-other-people).
