# How do I find my past chats in the ZeroTwo iPhone and iPad app?

Your chats are in the sidebar. They belong to your ZeroTwo account, so the list you see on iPhone or iPad follows you across your devices.

## Open the sidebar

Swipe in from the left edge of the screen, or tap the sidebar button at the top left of a chat. Tap any chat in the list to open it.

## Browse your chats

- **Recents** lists your chats in groups: Today, Yesterday, Previous 7 days, Previous 30 days and Older. If you have none yet, it says "No history yet".
- **Pinned** is a separate section for pinned chats and projects.
- Chats that belong to a project are not under Recents. Open them from the project, listed under **Projects**.
- Pull down in the sidebar to refresh the list.

To change the layout, tap the three-dot **Chat options** button next to Recents. **By date** groups chats under the headings above, and **Chronological list** shows one flat list. You can also sort by **Created** or **Updated**. The defaults are By date and Updated.

## Search your chats

1. In the sidebar, tap **Search** at the top.
2. Type part of a chat's title. The list narrows to matching chats, with pinned chats first.
3. Tap a chat to open it, or tap **New chat** to start another. Tap the X beside the search bar to close search.

Search matches chat titles, so use a word from the title you remember. It looks through the chats that belong in your history list, so chats inside projects and archived chats do not come up.

## Find archived chats

Archived chats leave the sidebar. To see them, open **Settings**, then **Data controls**, then **Archived chats**.
