ZeroTwo can draw a new image from a description and can change an image you already have. You can start from any chat, or from the Images page, which keeps everything you make in one gallery.
Create an image in a chat
- Open a chat in Chat mode and click the + button in the message box.
- Choose Create image.
- Describe the picture and send your message.
Mention the shape you want, such as a tall poster, a wide banner or a square avatar. ZeroTwo picks square, portrait or landscape to match your request. You can also attach reference pictures to your message so ZeroTwo can use them as style or subject references.
Use the Images page
On the web and desktop apps, open More in the left rail and choose Images. The page has three parts:
- A message box at the bottom with the prompt Describe a new image. Each request you send from here starts in its own new chat.
- A grid of style tiles. Click one to fill the box with a prompt for that style. Some tiles open a window where you pick one of your recent images or upload a new one first.
- My images, a gallery of everything you have created. Until you create something, it says Images you create will appear here.
If you attach an image to your message on this page, ZeroTwo edits that image instead of creating a new one.
Point at an image in the gallery to show Edit and a share button. Images that are saved in your library also get an add-to-space button. Spaces has a separate Images entry for the image files in your library.
Edit an image
Click an image to open it in the image viewer. When you are signed in, the viewer shows a row of editing tools at the top of the picture:
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| Markup | Draw guide marks on the image, then describe the edit they should guide. |
| Comment | Pin a note to a spot on the image and describe the change you want there. |
| Remove BG | Removes the background and returns a PNG with a transparent background. |
| Erase | Brush over what you want to remove, then click Send. ZeroTwo removes the painted area. You can undo and redo brush strokes before you send. |
| Resize | Choose a new aspect ratio from a menu. |
To make any other change, type it in the box that says Describe edits. Use Single image and All images at the top left to switch between one picture and a grid of the set. In the grid, Multi-select lets you choose several images at once.
On the web, the button at the top right of the viewer (its tooltip says Download a copy) saves the image to your device.
Choose an image model
On paid plans you can choose between image models from several providers, including GPT Image, Nano Banana, Flux, Grok Imagine, Seedream, Qwen, Ideogram, Recraft and Z-Image Turbo. Not every model can edit, so the editing list is shorter than the creation list.
- Go to Settings > Personalization > Models and set Image generation model and Editing model.
- You can also change the model from the picker in the Images message box, or the edit model from the picker in the image viewer. The picker has a Search models... field and a sort button.
On paid plans the default image model is GPT Image 2.5 Flare until you pick another. On the Free plan, image creation always uses GPT Image 1 Mini.
Credits and limits
On paid plans, images draw from your credit balance. In the model picker, point at the coin icon next to a model to see its estimated credit cost per image.
- ZeroTwo Plus: if your balance is empty, image creation can only use the included models: GPT Image 2.5 Flare, Seedream v5 Lite, Z-Image Turbo and Recraft V4.1. Other models show a lock until you add credits, and editing has its own, different list of included models. Plus also has a monthly cap of 300 image generations and edits combined; when you reach it, ZeroTwo shows a Monthly limit reached message.
- ZeroTwo Pro: there is no separate image count. If you run out of credits, ZeroTwo tells you to add credits to continue. Plans above Pro have no monthly image count either.
On your phone
ZeroTwo for iOS has an Images screen with My images and Try a style on an image, and Create image in the chat tools. ZeroTwo for Android has an Images screen with the same two sections, and Create image in the chat tools.
