It can be. Any AI model can produce answers that lean one way, rely on stereotypes or leave out other perspectives, and ZeroTwo's Terms say its output may be incomplete, incorrect or offensive and does not represent ZeroTwo's views. ZeroTwo is not a single model, so how much of this you see also depends on which model answered.
Why the model you pick matters
ZeroTwo sends your request to the model you choose. The Privacy Policy lists providers that include Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI, Cohere, Mistral, Perplexity, Groq, DeepSeek, Qwen and Kimi, and the Terms say the quality and reliability of output depend on the underlying model and that ZeroTwo does not control third-party models. A pattern you notice in one model's answers does not carry over to every model, and it is not necessarily a ZeroTwo behavior. The model picker in the message box has a search box for finding a model.
Ways to spot and reduce one-sided answers
- Ask for more than one view. Request the strongest case for each side, or how people with different experiences might see the question.
- Separate fact from opinion. Ask ZeroTwo to label which statements are established facts, which are contested, and which it is unsure about.
- Look at the sources. In Chat, turn on Web Search from the + menu, then open Sources under the answer and see whether the pages cover more than one viewpoint. See Does ZeroTwo tell the truth?
- Compare models. Open the Retry menu under a Chat reply and choose Switch model to get the same answer from a different one.
- Set standing guidance. In Settings > Personalization > Companion, the Custom instructions box can say, for example, that you want balanced treatment of contested topics. In Chat, ZeroTwo is instructed to treat custom instructions as standing orders that take precedence over what it has learned about you, unless they conflict with platform safety or tool rules. See Setting custom instructions in ZeroTwo.
In a classroom
A biased answer can be useful teaching material. Ask students what is missing, who might disagree, and how rewording the prompt changes the result.
If you see harmful output
Tell ZeroTwo through Help > Send Feedback; the steps are in How do I report a problem or harmful content to ZeroTwo? Also remember the Terms prohibit using output about a person to make decisions that could materially affect them, which includes decisions about education.
