A plugin is a bundle that adds abilities to ZeroTwo. It can include skills, commands, agents and connectors to outside services, and in the desktop app it can also include local MCP servers. Install a plugin once, connect the services it needs, then try it from its page or tag it in the composer.
Find plugins
- Open Customize in the rail. Its sidebar lists Plugins, Skills and Connectors.
- Select Plugins. The page subtitle reads "Work with ZeroTwo across your favorite tools".
- Browse the categories, or use Search plugins.
The Public filter shows the plugin catalog grouped by category, and the filter button next to the pills narrows it to one category. The Personal filter shows plugins from your own sources, such as ones Created by you and marketplaces you added. Plugins you have installed are also listed under Installed in the Customize sidebar.
To switch installed plugins, skills and connectors on or off, use the Settings button at the top of a Customize page. It opens Settings > Plugins, which you can also reach from the Integrations group in Settings.
Install a plugin
Every plugin that is not installed yet has an Install button on its row in the list.
- Optional: open the plugin first to read its page. It shows a description, example prompts and what the plugin contains, such as skills, commands, agents and connectors. When the plugin provides the details, an Information section lists its capabilities, developer, category and version.
- Select Install, on the row or on the plugin's page. ZeroTwo shows an "Installing" message and then "Installed", each followed by the plugin's name.
- If the plugin needs exactly one outside service, ZeroTwo opens that service's connect dialog right away. Otherwise, connect the services from the plugin's Connectors list or from Customize > Connectors.
Some plugins are limited to the desktop app. On the web, the Install button on such a plugin's page is disabled, and its tooltip reads "Not available on this platform".
Use a plugin
- On an installed plugin's page, select Try now. ZeroTwo switches to Work and opens a new chat with the plugin tagged and, when the plugin has example prompts, the first one filled in. Nothing is sent until you send it.
- Select one of the example prompts on the plugin's page. Each is shown as
@Plugin namefollowed by the prompt. ZeroTwo switches to Work and starts a new chat with that prompt. - In the composer, open the + menu (its tooltip reads "Add files & more"), or type @. Installed plugins that are switched on are listed under Plugins, and choosing one adds it to your message.
If a plugin cannot reach a service, see Fix connector and plugin problems in ZeroTwo.
Manage or uninstall a plugin
- On an installed plugin's page, the ... menu has Manage, which opens Settings > Plugins, and Uninstall.
- In Settings > Plugins, each plugin row has a switch that turns the plugin off without uninstalling it.
- If a plugin is installed but switched off, its page shows Enable where Try now would be.
- Uninstalling removes the plugin together with the skills and commands that came with it.
Create or add your own
Select Add at the top of a Customize page to open the Add menu.
- Create plugin. ZeroTwo switches to Work, picks a Work-capable model if needed and opens a new chat with "/plugin-creator help me create a plugin" in the composer. It is not sent until you send it. Describe what the plugin should do and the plugin creator builds it. A plugin created this way is installed for you by default.
- Add a marketplace (desktop app only). The "Add plugin marketplace" dialog takes a Source (a GitHub repo, Git URL or local folder), an optional Git ref and optional Sparse paths. Select Add marketplace. Installing a plugin from a marketplace needs the desktop app.
- Add MCP server. Opens a form for your own MCP server, where you give it a name and choose a Type of STDIO or Streamable HTTP.
- Record a skill (desktop app only). ZeroTwo starts a recording while you demonstrate a workflow; select Stop in the recording pill when you finish.
On iPhone, iPad and Android
The iOS and Android apps have their own plugin screens. The steps above describe the web and desktop apps.
