How do I manage cookies when I use ZeroTwo?

ZeroTwo uses cookies and local storage for sign-in, security and analytics. Here is what the policy says and how to manage them in your browser.

Updated: 20 hours ago

ZeroTwo does not currently offer a cookie preferences panel on zerotwo.ai, so you manage cookies through your browser's own settings. The ZeroTwo Privacy Policy says that, depending on the controls ZeroTwo provides, you may be able to manage non-essential cookies through its consent tools or through your browser settings.

What does ZeroTwo use cookies for?

The policy says ZeroTwo uses cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs and similar technologies to:

  • keep you signed in and remember your settings;
  • secure sessions and detect abuse;
  • measure traffic, engagement and product performance;
  • understand how people discover and use ZeroTwo.

The policy adds that the ZeroTwo website also uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.

How do I manage cookies in my browser?

Cookie and site-data settings belong to your browser, not to ZeroTwo. Where they are depends on the browser and its version, so open your browser's help and look for cookies or site data. Apply any change to the ZeroTwo sites you use: zerotwo.ai for the website and app.zerotwo.ai for the web app.

What happens if I block or delete them?

The policy warns that blocking certain cookies may affect how parts of the service function.

The ZeroTwo web app keeps your sign-in session in your browser's local storage. If you clear the site data for app.zerotwo.ai, you are signed out and need to sign in again.

Clearing cookies or site data does not delete your chats or your account. ZeroTwo stores your chats in your account on its servers, not in your browser's cookies, and the policy says it keeps content you store until you delete it. To remove data from your account, use Data Controls instead. See Manage your chats and account data in Data Controls.

Does ZeroTwo respond to Do Not Track?

No. The policy says there is no uniform industry standard for recognizing Do Not Track signals, so ZeroTwo does not currently respond to them unless the law requires it. Turning on Do Not Track in your browser does not switch ZeroTwo's cookies off, so use the browser settings described above.

Where can I find more?

Section 6 of the Privacy Policy covers cookies and similar technologies. For an overview of everything ZeroTwo collects, see How does ZeroTwo handle my data? You can also email reed@zerotwo.ai with questions about the policy.
