ZeroTwo has no built-in way to move chats from one account to another, and two accounts cannot be merged. What you can do is export the chats from the first account and attach the export file to a chat in the second one, so ZeroTwo can read the old conversations as reference material.
What ZeroTwo offers and what it does not
- Settings > Data Controls can export your chats to a JSON file. Its rows are Export data, Archived chats, Delete all chats, Clear all data, Shared Links and Delete account, so there is no transfer or merge option.
- Settings > Import brings chats and setup in from other AI apps. On the web its sources are ChatGPT, Claude and Grok. It has no option for a ZeroTwo export file.
Use an export as reference in another account
- In the account that has the chats, export them. The steps are in How to export your ZeroTwo chats. Keep the JSON file somewhere you can find it.
- Choose Log out from the account menu, then sign in to the account that should receive the chats.
- Start a new chat. In the composer, select the + button (its tooltip reads "Add files & more"), choose Files and folders (described as "Upload from computer") and pick the JSON file.
- Tell ZeroTwo what you need from it, for example "Summarize the conversations in this file about the website redesign" or "Find the chat where we planned the budget."
JSON is one of the file types ZeroTwo accepts, and it reads the file as text. For a long file, ZeroTwo searches inside it for the passages that answer your question, so specific questions work better than asking for everything at once.
Limits to keep in mind
- A file can be up to 50 MB, and you can attach up to 10 files to one message. A very large export that is over 50 MB cannot be attached.
- On the Free plan you can attach only 1 file per message.
- The export is a snapshot. Chats you write after exporting are not in it, so export again when you want newer ones.
- Attaching a file gives ZeroTwo reference text inside one chat. It does not put the old conversations back in your chat list.
Keep the file private
The export includes your email address and profile name along with the full text of your chats. Store it carefully. A file you attach to a chat is saved in your Library until you delete it; How ZeroTwo keeps and deletes your chats and files explains how to remove it.
