Change your display name in Settings, Profile: select Edit, update Display name and select Save. These steps are for the web and desktop apps.
Change your display name
- Open the account menu (your name at the bottom of the sidebar) and choose Settings.
- Select Profile.
- Select Edit at the top right of the page. A dialog titled Edit profile opens.
- Type the new name in Display name. The field cannot be empty; ZeroTwo asks you to enter a display name if it is.
- Select Save.
Your display name is the name shown at the top of your Profile page. The same dialog lets you change your Username and profile picture. A username can use 1 to 30 letters, numbers or underscores. A profile picture must be a JPEG, PNG, GIF or WebP image smaller than 5 MB.
Another place to change it
Settings, Personalization, then the Profile tab has a Display / preferred name field described as the name used across prompts and profile surfaces. It edits the same display name, so you can use either place. Changes there save automatically.
What this does not change
- How you sign in. Your display name is separate from the email address, phone number or Google, Apple or Microsoft account you sign in with.
- The name on invoices. If you pay by card, Settings, Billing, Billing information keeps its own Name, Billing email and Address, which ZeroTwo describes as the details used for invoices and receipts. Select Edit in that section to update them. See finding invoices and receipts.
