You can share a whole chat, or just one reply, as a link. People you send the link to need a ZeroTwo account and must be signed in to open it. You can switch a link off at any time.
Share a whole chat
- Open the chat and click Share in the top bar. If you do not see the button, open More options (the three dots) and choose Share.
- ZeroTwo creates the link as soon as you click Share, and the window that opens shows a preview of the most recent question and answer.
- Click Copy link, or use the X, LinkedIn or Reddit buttons to post it.
If the link cannot be created, the window shows Retry. If copying fails, select the link in the Share link box and copy it yourself.
For a chat that lives in a project, the Share button is available only to people who can share that project. To give people access to the whole project instead, see How do projects work in ZeroTwo?.
Share one message
Point at a reply from ZeroTwo and click the share icon under it (its tooltip says Share message). A similar window opens with Copy link and the X, LinkedIn and Reddit buttons, and the link opens only that reply instead of the whole chat. Generated images have their own share button on the Images page; see How do I create and edit images with ZeroTwo?.
What people see
- A read-only view of the chat, headed by a badge such as "Shared by" followed by your name.
- The chat as it is right now. Messages you add after sharing appear when someone opens the link again.
- A message box that says "Reply to start your own chat". Anything the visitor types there starts a new chat of their own. Your original chat is not changed.
Anyone who has the link and signs in to ZeroTwo can read what you shared, so leave out chats that contain private details.
See and delete your shared links
- Open Settings > Data Controls.
- Next to Shared Links, click Manage.
- The Shared links window lists each item with its name, its type and the date you shared it. The type is Chat, Image, File, or Post, which is a single shared message.
- Click the delete button on a row to remove that link, or choose Delete all shared links and confirm.
Deleting a shared link stops other people from viewing that content. It does not delete the original chat, image or file.
