If you see chats, charges, or sign-ins that you do not recognize, act quickly. ZeroTwo's sign-in page does not ask for a password. You sign in with Google, Apple, Microsoft, a phone number, or a link sent to your email. Securing your ZeroTwo account therefore starts with securing the account or inbox you use to sign in.
If you can still sign in
- Sign out everywhere. Open Settings > Security and select Log out all next to Log out of all devices. This ends every active session, including the one you are using, and other devices can take up to 30 minutes to be signed out. Then sign in again.
- Secure how you sign in. Change the password and review the security settings on the Google, Apple, or Microsoft account you use. If you sign in by email, secure that inbox, because the sign-in link is sent there and expires after 1 hour. If you sign in by phone, make sure only you control that number.
- Turn on two-factor authentication. In Settings > Security, switch on Two-factor authentication. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app, then enter the 6-digit code it shows. A Backup codes row also appears, but the sign-in prompt only accepts the authenticator app's code, so backup codes cannot get you back in. Keep your authenticator app backed up instead. For more, see How do I turn two-factor authentication on or off in ZeroTwo?
- Review what changed. Check Settings > Billing > Transaction history for charges you do not recognize; What should I do about a ZeroTwo charge I don't recognize? shows how to match a charge to an account. In Customize > Connectors, open a connected app and use Disconnect, from the app's More options menu or from the menu on an individual account, for anything you do not recognize. In Settings > Data Controls, select Manage next to Shared Links and delete any shared links you do not want to keep.
To read more about signing out of every device, see How do I log out of ZeroTwo on all of my devices? For a shorter checklist, see What should I do if I notice suspicious activity on my account? To lower the risk in future, see How can I keep my ZeroTwo account secure?
