If something on your account looks wrong, work through these steps in order: sign out everywhere, check your payments, secure how you sign in, then tell ZeroTwo what you saw. To report it, use the support options in the last step.
Sign out of every device
Settings has two sign-out controls on the Security tab. Log out of this device ends only the session you are using. Log out of all devices ends every active session, including this one, so use it whenever someone else may have had access.
- Open the account menu (your name at the bottom of the sidebar) and choose Settings.
- Select Security.
- Next to Log out of all devices, select Log out all.
- Sign in again with your usual method.
The page warns that it can take up to 30 minutes for your other devices to be logged out. In the iPhone, iPad and Android apps the same row is under Settings, Security, and you confirm in a prompt titled Log Out of All Devices.
Secure the way you sign in
The web sign-in page has no password field. It offers Continue with Google, Continue with Apple, Continue with Microsoft and Continue with phone (a verification code is sent by text message), or you can enter an email address (a sign-in link is sent to your inbox, and the page says it expires after 1 hour). Because you sign in through one of those, securing that Google, Apple or Microsoft account, phone number or inbox matters for your ZeroTwo account too. If you suspect one of them has been compromised, secure it with the provider first.
Then add a second check: turn on two-factor authentication so signing in also needs a code from your authenticator app. For longer-term habits, see How can I keep my ZeroTwo account secure?
Check your payments
Open Settings, then Billing, and read Transaction history. It lists your payments, newest first, each with its date, a status (Paid, Void, Open or Failed) and the amount; select a row to open its invoice or receipt. If your plan is billed through the App Store, Billing says Billing for this plan is managed through the App Store. and Apple payments are not in this list.
If a payment looks wrong, write to reed@zerotwo.ai before you dispute it with your bank. ZeroTwo's Terms ask you to contact ZeroTwo before starting a chargeback or payment dispute for a charge you believe is unauthorized or incorrect, and say that a chargeback for a legitimate, authorized charge may result in account suspension or termination. More on this is in requesting a refund. If you cannot match a charge to your account, What should I do about a ZeroTwo charge I don't recognize? shows how.
Review what you have shared
Anyone with a shared link can view the chat, post, image or file it points to. To review them, go to Settings, Data Controls, then Shared Links and select Manage. The Shared links list shows each item's name, type and date shared. Delete one link with its trash button, or choose Delete all shared links and confirm. Deleting a link stops others from viewing that content; your original content stays.
Tell ZeroTwo
Send what you found from Help, Support (or Report Bug), or email reed@zerotwo.ai. Say when you noticed the activity, what you saw and which email address or phone number you sign in with. The steps are in contacting support. For a longer walk-through that also covers connected apps, see What should I do if I see unrecognized activity on my ZeroTwo account? If the trigger was a message that claims to be from ZeroTwo, see how to tell if a message is really from ZeroTwo.
