There is no sign-in setting to switch. The ZeroTwo sign-in screen has no password field, so there is no password to change or reset: you choose a method on the sign-in screen each time. The sign-in setting you can change is two-factor authentication, under Settings > Security.

For phone sign-in in detail, see How does phone sign-in work in ZeroTwo?
Staying in the same account
ZeroTwo has no screen for linking a phone number and an email address, or two different email addresses, to one account. Signing in with an email address or phone number you have not used before creates a new account, so a different identifier can open a different account. If your chats or plan seem to be missing after you sign in, sign out and sign in with the email address or phone number you used when you set up the account.
Two-factor authentication applies to every method
If you turn on two-factor authentication, ZeroTwo asks for a six-digit code from your authenticator app after you sign in, whichever method you used.
- Open Settings > Security and turn on Two-factor authentication.
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Authy or 1Password, or type the manual entry code into the app.
- Enter the six-digit code the app shows to finish.
To move to a new authenticator device, turn the switch off and on again to get a fresh QR code. How do I turn two-factor authentication on or off in ZeroTwo? covers the rest.
